reccomendations?

Anyone have a good recco for a book of anatomy/poses/ human body for drawing? just like something really simple, not like seirous life drawing kind of stuff.

So I'm still chugging along on my SVM characters drawings. I still have yet to ink my Bill,Eric, Quinn, Pam, and Amelia with Bob the cat (after I change her hair after a convo with a friend of mine) I'd also love to find some time to color the ones I've inked already. Man I miss being in colelge where I seemed to have all the time in the world for this stuff.

Le sigh...

So, I'm on book five of the Southern Vampire Mystery/ Sookie Stackhouse series and am still totaly loving it. I have some little character sketches I've been doing as I go along and I'd like to color them before I post them and Kind of get back into that. So far I've got...

Sookie
Sam
Alcide
Bill
Eric
Pam

It's so much fun and I've still got some work to do on fixing some of them up..it's been a while :-). More people need to hop into this series. it's so full of fantastic and rich characters that will hopefully inspire some great fanart!

Hopefully I'll start having some up in the next week. Crits very welcome!

thx,
Maggie

Southern Vampire Mystery Series

Shocking, I know. I have had True Blood introduced into my life, and after finishing the first season in a week, I've been storming through a book. I'm about halfway done with book 4, and this series is teaming with awesome characters that I can't resist but sketch after several years of not really drawing anything new. Unfortunately, since I Haven't drawn in a while, my style hasn't really evolved much so I'm just kind of dipping my feet in the pool again. I'll have a few "scraps" up shortly. Keeping it pretty simple.

I am still alive! I know I can't belive it either. My New years resolutions are to cook more and draw more so i'm going to try to actually draw once again! It's been over a year, so be kind. I'm very out of practic, but with so many Inspiring things in New York i'm sure I can do something worth looking at!

Thanks to everyone who continued to check in on my website once in a while hopeful for something new. I'm sorry i've dissapointed you, but I'll try to make up for it.

Since my last post over year ago, I still Live in New York, I love it. I work full time at an ad agency as an art director. You can see one campaign I've done at [link]

It's fun work. i can't belive people get paid to do this stuff. But it comes with it's own set of headaches.

Anyway, It's good to be back, and I hope I dont dissapoint any old fan are new friends than come along!

thanks,
maggie

Ok guys, sadly I haven't even been here over a month or two, But i'm moving to New York City tomorrow..for how long I don't know yet since my job is only temporary, but may turn permanant or may not. Either way, I won't have a scanner and I don't haveinternet at my apt. I'm pretty sure there's a WiFi cafe not far, but I can't be on all hours of the day like I am here in Houston, especially since my job is going to be CRAZY.

Anyway, I'll do what I can to keep in touch and if i do any doodles I'll try to get them up. but I'll probably be on haitus for quite a bit.

Adios!
