reccomendations?

Thu May 28, 2009, 10:28 AM
Anyone have a good recco for a book of anatomy/poses/ human body for drawing? just like something really simple, not like seirous life drawing kind of stuff.

So I'm still chugging along on my SVM characters drawings. I still have yet to ink my Bill,Eric, Quinn, Pam, and Amelia with Bob the cat (after I change her hair after a convo with a friend of mine) I'd also love to find some time to color the ones I've inked already. Man I miss being in colelge where I seemed to have all the time in the world for this stuff.

Le sigh...

Giovanni Civardi's "Drawing Human Anatomy" is incredibly thorough, but easy to grasp.
One of my drawing professors recommended it to me, and I thought it was great. You could probably find it on Amazon.
He's also got separate books for female and male nude drawings in case you want to get more detailed.
Hope that helps!

I had to laugh at the bottom where you said you had more time in college to do this stuff. When I'm at college I have no time to do anything. lol. :D

I really enjoy using 'Figure Drawing Without a Model' by Ron Tiner if you're looking for more... it's got some really great loose-type drawings as well as perspective work.... I especially love how he goes into the differences in the male and female body when standing in the same pose!

Glad you found something though!
